The Head of Security Solutions Architecture is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies to protect the organization's information assets. The Team
Our Security Solutions Architecture team is comprised of dedicated security professionals who are passionate about safeguarding our digital infrastructure, all working collaboratively to achieve our security objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures that protect company data, systems, and networks.
- Develop security frameworks and models to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Evaluate and select security technologies and tools to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture team, security analysts, engineers, specialists to integrate security solutions into existing infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with the company's security policies.
- Manage security solutions architecture team budget, including resource allocation and prioritization.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the security solutions architecture team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, to advocate for security initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging threats to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Build and mentor a high-performing security architecture team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and expertise.
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization.
The Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, and design patterns
- 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity architecture or a related discipline.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in security architecture and design.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions for large organizations.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks (e.g., NYDFS, PCI-DSS, HIPAA), and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Proven leadership experience in a security or strategic management role.
- In-depth knowledge of security standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate security policies into security solutions.
- Proficiency in various security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection platforms (EPP), Cloud Security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Identity Access Management(IAM) and encryption technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels.

- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP certifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Familiarity with MassMutual's core competencies and a strong alignment with our organizational values
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices, including automation of security testing and monitoring.
