The Opportunity:
We need Digital Designer with a great design aesthetic, strong conceptual ability, and an appetite for being proactive. The challenge: We're a complex organization with lots of channels, in-house clients, and differing expectations. The opportunity: We're in the process of building-out our in-house creative group to significantly expand our capabilities. This position will be a part of that evolution and will have a hand in deciding what our future looks like. You'll work with Copywriters of varying levels from relatively junior to senior to our Creative Directors. While you'll handle plenty of business-as-usual projects, you'll also be expected to identify in-house opportunities to turn what is usually rote work into something more creative, conceptual, and potentially award-winning.

The Team:
We're building an in-house creative team that will eventually be able to go toe-to-toe with the best "out-of-house" agencies. This role will help us get there and you'll be a big part of it. (Yes, it's ambitious. But it's our ambition.)
The Impact:
As a Digital Designer, you will have a direct impact on how our brand is perceived and communicated across various channels and audiences. You will help us elevate our digital design work and showcase our value proposition in compelling and engaging ways. You will also contribute to our culture of innovation and excellence by bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table and inspiring others to do the same.
Responsibilities:
- Creates everything from digital banners, HTML landing pages, HTML emails (table-heavy coding), Social posts, and all digital/coding designed experiences for both Campaign and BAU work that achieves creative excellence while supporting and evolving brand look and feel
- Form a close, collaborative partnership with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters, Account Managers, and internal clients of varying levels
- Well-versed in coding, HTML, CSS, which is vital to support all digital work
- Creates BAU design work for internal stakeholders' communications and internal campaigns (print and digital)
- Manage and incorporate feedback from multiple internal stakeholders
The Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in advertising, either at an external agency or at a solid in-house agency
- 2+ years experience coding, HTML, CSS, which is vital to support all digital work
- 1+ year of experience utilizing industry-standard applications for coding and creating (Adobe Creative Suite)
- 1+ year of experience presenting creative work
- 1+ year of experience with basic principles of branding/brand identity
- 1+ year of experience with basic demands and potential of traditional cross-channel media, including social, digital, print, email
- 1+ year of experience designing with photography, illustration, typography, and editing
The Ideal Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in advertising, either at an external agency or at a solid in-house agency
- Experience working at a financial company or on financial accounts
- Experience with animation, and delivery through digital channels
- A familiarity with the process of making creative work which is the norm in (but not unique to) advertising agencies
- Experience with digital design work, from concepting to production
