Pet Nutrition PMO Lead - SRM

Job Description:

This is an "embedded resource" role, organisationally reporting to the Strategic Reinvention Office (SRO) while operating within the SRM Program. As a part of the SRO team the role-holder will proactively collaborate with PMOs in other PN Strategic Initiatives to manage interdependencies, develop standards and share best practice. The role holder will also work closely with other SRO roles including Strategic Partners, Transformation Leads and Change Managers.

Operationally, the role-holder will work most closely within the SRM Program Team with a primary focus on the success of those initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive business experience, including proven experience or related work (preferably in CPG industry and/or project management function)
  • Experience in SRM, ideally within Mars Pet Nutrition, in a project or program role
  • Experience working in high performance team environment (meaning s/he can candidly give and receive feedback)
  • Advanced-level experience in developing PMO solutions using SmartSheet and PowerBI
  • Experience with global cross-functional teams

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Essential: Certified at Practitioner level in either PgMP, MSP or equivalent.
  • Desired : Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area (e.g. Business Management) or equivalent
  • Desired: Other Business Change professional certifications such as MoP, PRINCE2,Agile PRINCE2, Prosci Practitioner or similar

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Leads the planning, monitoring, and control of the SRM program.
  • Set the standards for planning, monitoring and control of projects within the program, applying standards and artefacts developed by the SRO.
  • Updates program-level initiatives Charters in collaboration with Initiative Lead and Sponsor.
  • Prepares and facilitates the SRM Program Board.
  • Tracks Actions from SRM Program Board and SRM topics in SRO SteerCos.
  • Tracks program status (Time, Cost, Scope) for reporting at both SRM Board and to for the SRO High Involvement Initiative Scorecard.
  • Responsible for day-to-day execution support from a program management perspective
  • Ensure monitoring and tracking of roadmap and KPIs
  • Manages Program-level RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) identification and tracking, working closely with leads of projects within the program.
  • In partnership with other PMOs manage interdependencies with other PN Strategic Initiatives.
  • Manages program Information management, quality assurance and change control.
  • Work in partnership with the program's Change Manager, Corporate Affairs Lead and other core program team roles to build and deliver a unified, consistent approach to operating the program
  • Increase business change effectiveness by promoting best practice program and project management and agile ways of working
  • Coordinate experts across the org and link them to the initiative leads as appropriate
  • Ensure that the Program is being managed in accordance with the Mars Business Change Frameworks
  • Bring Insights back to the SRO Team

SRO Cross-Initiative Automation & Standardisation Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for providing Portfolio PMO and technical expertise to enable successful delivery of the 5+5 strategic initiatives. This includes developing and supporting SmartSheet and PowerBI based solutions to standardise and automate processes such as Scorecards, project plans, and change management insights
