The Role

The Payroll Associate role will support all payroll/tax activities for the EMEA & APAC region and serves as a backup in the absence of staff support.  This position will directly interact with all levels of the firm and be a key resource to employees and the business. The successful candidate will be an extremely detail-oriented team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Assist with pay slips and tax document requests
  • Assist with validating terminations
  • Checking banking details, NI, and tax changes and forms in the payroll system
  • Assist with special projects as required and provide assistance where needed in the payroll department to meet volume or peak period needs
  • Apply garnishments to employee’s payroll deductions and ensure payments
  • Research and respond to routine HRBPs inquiries regarding payroll calculations and deductions; investigate issues and make appropriate corrections
  • Prepare pre and post-audit reports each pay cycle for HR Partners to review and approve
  • Assist team members in day-to-day data collection, preparation, and export of pay data files in accordance with the timelines outlined in the payment schedule
  • Review, audit, file, and maintain payroll reports and documents

What We’re Looking for

  • 2+ years of payroll experience, including some experience with an HRIS/payroll system and related reporting

  • University degree preferred, or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of payroll tax theory, principles, practices and applications (e.g. tax forms, notifications, monthly and annual filings etc.)

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, intermediate experience with Excel preferred

  • Analytical, quantitative, verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail

  • Strong team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels

  • Strong curiosity; creative thinking and solution-focused with the technical prowess to deal well with complexity and abstraction

  • An autonomous worker with strong follow-through skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with all levels of leadership, employees, and peers locally and virtually

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is £55,000 to £80,000 Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives and other benefit programs.
