Restaurant & Events Manager
Liquidity Wines, Okanagan Valley
In this role, you will report to the Director of Guest Experience and take the lead in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and events. You'll have a keen focus on managing costs, including labor and operational efficiency, while ensuring every guest receives top-notch service that reflects the elegance of our wines and the beauty of our setting. With your leadership, the team will thrive in creating an atmosphere of excellence, while you manage a diverse range of events, from corporate functions and weddings to intimate winemaker dinners.

- Take charge of event planning, logistics, and BEO development for corporate, social, public, and internal events.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while meeting revenue and labor budget targets.
- Design and implement event layouts, flows, and facility configurations to deliver tailored guest experiences.
- Provide exemplary service, continuously monitoring guest satisfaction before, during, and after events.
- Track service and satisfaction trends, addressing any concerns and making improvements to elevate experiences.
- Ensure seamless execution of onsite and offsite private events, including weddings, member exclusive events, and Winemaker dinners.
- Manage the operations of our onsite loft, ensuring flawless guest check-ins and maintenance.
Wine Club & Tasting Room (20%)
- Curate and host personalized experiences that delight guests and foster loyalty, encouraging repeat visits.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, warmth, and commitment to excellence in every guest interaction.
- Innovate ways to engage and excite our visitors, ensuring each guest leaves with lasting memories of their time at Liquidity.
- Lead wine club initiatives, including increasing member retention and creating unparalleled experiences to enhance member satisfaction.
Team & Leadership
- Lead, inspire, and motivate a passionate team, setting clear expectations for outstanding service and performance.
- Manage the recruitment, training, scheduling, payroll, and tip distribution for seasonal staff.
- Guide the service team, ensuring both revenue and cost targets are met.
Operational Excellence
- Optimize revenue by managing labor costs, operating expenses, and achieving financial goals.
- Stay ahead of market trends, leading initiatives to grow Liquidity's brand and profitability.
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring smooth operations of wine and packaging materials.
What You Have:
- 5 - 8 years of Restaurant or Events experience in a fine dining environment.
- Completed Bachelor's Degree of Business/Hospitality/Hotel Management or related from a recognized institution.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a Food & Beverage or Hospitality environment, where exceptional service is key.
- A personal passion for food, wine, and hospitality, with wine education a major asset.
- A proven track record of creating unforgettable experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Experience working across functions and managing teams to achieve business goals.
- A natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a drive for excellence and innovation.
