Scope:
The Event Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the operational functions, including strategic business planning, operations process development, organizational activities, event logistics execution and systems support in order to meet fundraising and mission objectives of the March of Dimes in the markets within the assigned Region. The position has direct responsibility of logistical support for assigned market events.

Responsibilities:
Event Management
- In conjunction with market development directors and event leads, oversee all aspects of event logistics execution for both virtual and on premise market events as per the established departmental scope of work.
- Responsible for negotiation and execution of event contracts and addendums including working with vendors and MOD legal on contract negotiations with venues and contractors. This includes support for securing and communicating with the venue, vendors, signage, printing, supplies for activities, checklists, day of processes and logistics/activities, and rentals.
- Identify prospects, research and analyze vendor options in order to identify cost effective opportunities. Be aware of event budgets to help markets control expenditures.
- Responsible for monitoring event DDBs and communicating status with market leadership and event leads.
- Ensure markets have all event materials and collateral needed for event execution.
- Effectively manage the logistical execution of all assigned on premises fundraising events. This includes support for securing and communicating with the venue, permits, vendors, signage placement, printing, supplies for activities, checklists, tents, day-of processes and logistics/activities, rental vehicles and other rentals, etc.
- Work with event lead on sponsorship activation (ie. Collection of logos for event platforms, programs, t-shirts etc)
- Work with market staff and vendors to assist and fulfill MFB recognitions.
- Identify, refine and anticipate event management process to keep all on schedule for successful event.
- Utilizes the DEC for event revenue input and works with market development staff on data analysis, and preparation for day-of or night-of event execution.
- Educate markets on nationally set event policies and provides support to markets.
- Assist market to train staff and volunteers for on premises events to execute event day operations, including data capture, equipment, and cash handling procedures. For virtual events, support markets by co-hosting Zoom or other platforms, keeping market on schedule for collecting information needed for video and/or PowerPoint, setting up virtual event day of needs and completing a run through with the markets to ensure a successful front facing event.
- Facilitate bi-directional communication and feedback between market and national office, ensuring national standards for consistent event data entry and cash handling.
Centralized Event Logistics Support
- Give operational guidance to markets as requested (ie. refer and facilitate with appropriate department)
- Execute national logistics strategy and policies, including centralized event procedures.
- Work with Centralized Event Logistics leadership on special projects to enhance the implementation of events, both at the market level and nationally.
- Work with Campaign Excellence Team to communicate and assist in event fundraising implementation.
- Provide Centralized Event Logistics orientation to new staff members and ongoing training and support as needed.
- Completes Centralized Event Logistics projects as assigned by Dispatcher from the Service Desk, in a timely manner, according to the Service Level Agreement.
Data Management
- Be the point of contact for Centralized Event Services, such as the DEC, DPC, and MarComm EDD communications, to obtain clarification from market on specific items.
- Facilitates training/support for market staff to pull and schedule reports/queries out of FRED, Golden and OneCause, as necessary to monitor team/event activity.
- Oversees and/or performs all operations tasks related to event setup and tracking in FRED and OneCause.
- Ensures the timely and accurate entry of data into support systems through system oversight, touch base meetings, tip sheets and checklists.
Operational Efficiency and Team Support

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience
- High School Diploma
- Experience working within a matrix structure, including a dispersed workforce.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
