About the Role
We are searching for a Shipping Coordinator to perform the duties described below at our plant in Spartanburg SC USA.
Your Responsibilities
- In charge of the outbound supply chain of an JIS production plant
- Liaison with Production scheduling
- Complete understanding of the paperwork required for all outbound shipments
- Liaison with the customers as needed
- Coordinate staging process with forklift personnel for JIS and batch shipments
- Primary contact for customers shipping activities
- Create daily ship schedules and monitoring/modifying daily ship schedules
- Coordinating shipping schedule using customer portals as well as communication with carriers
- Ensure shipping documentation is prepared
- Sending and monitoring ASN's
- Maintaining customer routings, monitoring and reporting carrier performance issues
- Responsible for record retention of BOL and customer documentation
- Monitor and interact with customer shipping portals
Who we are looking for
- Ability to work in a team as well as performing tasks alone
- Ability to multi-task/prioritize and work with little supervision
- Excellent mathematical skills, good computer skills and attention to detail
- Experience with SAP R/3 preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
Your preferred qualifications
- Logistics/Supply Chain Diploma/Degree preferred or 3+ years' experience working with Suppliers/Inventory Control/ Customer Service or combination of education and experience
