Supplier Management provides assessment, standards, support, control, intelligence and reporting functions to drive resilience and supplier performance Management within our Supply chain. This includes a governance within Magna supply chain to meet compliance and regulatory requirements. Supplier management drives resilience and performance management of our supply chain, which includes the core supplier scorecard ratings of Financial, Commercial, Operational Resilience, Environmental Social Governance, Compliance and regulatory requirements.

The Manager, Data Management Operations, will report directly to the VP and work closely with all staff, particularly the Regional Managers and Purchasing Leads. The Manager will lead the operating model supporting the Supplier Management leaders & coordinating support to the Group & Corp operational teams. There is an expectation for value-add input to improve overall operating efficiencies. Some tasks include controlling the operations through standardized guidelines, checking, and determining schedules, ad hoc analysis & reports, communicating, data analytics, coordinating, and organizing the department.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management functional operation lead driving the governance of the supplier management function.
  • Ensures administration, operations & organization of the department, globally, is cohesive, efficient & effective. A PMO for the operations and execution of transformational elements of the Supplier Management team and integration/network model to the groups.
  • Ensures uploading, tracking, maintaining, and archiving & retrieving of completed data & review work files into databases, interfaces, and their related systems.
  • Ensure compliance with set standards such as travel for staff according to departmental guidelines and the Magna Travel Policy.
  • Provides routine standard & ad hoc KPIs, statistics and reports.
  • Suggests practical solutions, alternatives, and improvements of the supplier management execution of resilience, supplier performance management and adherence to supply chain regulatory and compliance requirements achievement.
  • Provides consistent regional & global support and engagement to Magna corporate, cross functional and group stakeholders & suppliers, fostering good working relationships.
  • Assists with other various ad-hoc & cross-functional risk management projects and data analytics as identified.
  • Organize, aid, track, analyze, report & advise on the regional and global budgetary results, supplier management processes, Supplier Management systems and tools development.

Who we are looking for

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of related work experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft suite of applications, Power BI & other analysis & reporting applications.
  • Training & or experience in key manufacturing elements such as quality, logistics, trade, tooling & processes.
  • Experience working with large databases with exposure to an IT professional interface to develop solutions.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, also Power BI, database applications and management platforms such as GSA, ERFX & QPF etc.
  • General understanding of Compliance, Supply Chain/Procurement, Operations, Environmental and Health & Safety issues.
