About the role:  

Lumafield is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions Organization. You will work with a wide range of customers to understand their technical needs during the sales process, new customer onboarding, technical training, and application development. You will be a power user of Lumafield products while embedding yourself as an adjunct engineer to our customers. You will work closely with Sales & Marketing to provide technical input and with Product & Engineering to help craft the tools we can offer to customers.

What you'll do:

  • Act as the technical point of contact for your customer accounts.
  • Work with prospective customers to form the problem statements we can solve for them, and then execute evaluations to satisfy those requirements.
  • Provide timely, clear communication with customers to ensure they are getting the most out of Lumafield’s products.
  • Identify opportunities to craft custom solutions for customers as their needs evolve, then manage the scoping, development, and deployment of the solution.
  • Manage customer performance and drive technology adoption through trainings, metrics and customer check-ins.
  • Work closely with Engineering, R&D, and Product teams to scope, prototype and develop new solutions or automation where required.
  • Create a lasting impact on transforming quality manufacturing operations and making critical industries safer and more sustainable.

About you:

  • Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other technical degree with applicable experience.
  • Have 3+ years of experience working in an Application/Sales Engineering, Customer Success Engineer, Solution Engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles.
  • Have experience in industrial inspection & factory automation, or supporting tools engineers use for physical inspections & measurement.
  • Have the ability to debug hardware and software issues, and navigate customers to short-term solutions.
  • Are comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Have an understanding of engineering principles, and processes, and understand how engineered products progress through their lifecycles.
  • Have a desire to travel to meet your customers where they are (expected travel 50%).

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Experience with CAD
