Role Overview:
- Lead the integration of automation and advanced analytics into finance operations.
- Spearhead process automation and predictive modeling efforts.
- Extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets.
- Serve as an Analytics Expert, promoting the use of analytics within finance.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Work:
- Partner with finance, IT, and business teams to implement data-driven improvements aligned with business goals.
- Facilitate the integration of analytics into finance workflows.
Tools & Platforms:
- Proficient in Python, Power BI, Tableau, and other advanced analytics platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SQL is required.
- Familiarity with data sources and platforms like Teradata, GCP, Hadoop, and Trino is necessary.
- Experience in Power Automate is preferred.
- Responsible for upskilling finance peers on these tools.
Training & Upskilling:
- Provide hands-on training in analytics tools to finance professionals.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and the adoption of emerging technologies within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives in process automation and predictive analytics to improve operational efficiency.
- Leverage analytics to drive innovation and strategic decision-making.
Data Handling & Security:
- Ensure secure and compliant data handling practices, given the role's access to sensitive financial information.
- Apply deep business knowledge to manage secure data in line with company policies.
Impact on Organization:
- Enhance operational efficiency through data-driven automation and insights.
- Support the finance function by enabling stronger data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in finance or analytical role with a public company, public accounting, or related
- Experience in structuring and writing formal documents, developing and delivering group presentations, project planning, and/or cross-functional collaboration
- Strong experience with SQL and familiarity of enterprise-grade environment (Teradata, Hadoop, Presto)
- Strong experience with analytical tools such as Python, R, SAS, Adobe, Alteryx, Knime
- Strong experience with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Superset, MicroStrategy, Qlik, etc.
- Experience with financial forecasting or analytic modeling and report automation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree MBA
- Previous experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Retail Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
