The primary purpose of the Assistant Marketing Manager - Technical SEO is to support the execution and optimization of technical SEO initiatives across Lowe's digital properties. This role is critical to ensuring strong search engine visibility by addressing site performance, indexing, and technical issues that impact organic search rankings.
The AMM will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical SEO issues, including but not limited to crawl errors, sitemaps, schema markup, and broken links. This individual will work cross-functionally with Product Management, UX, Site Operations, IT, and Digital Merchandising teams to implement best practices and drive technical enhancements that improve site health and search performance.

To accomplish this, the AMM must have expertise in website architecture, page speed optimization, log file analysis, and structured data implementation. The role also involves monitoring and reporting on SEO performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the development of scalable solutions to enhance search visibility.
This position requires a data-driven mindset, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who can communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and help execute strategies that improve Lowe's search rankings and organic traffic growth.
What You Will Do
- Lead efforts to enhance website architecture, internal linking structures, and navigation for improved crawlability and user experience.
- Optimize page speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals performance to enhance search rankings and user engagement.
- Implement structured data and schema markup to improve content visibility in search results and enable rich snippets.
- Conduct log file analysis to identify crawl inefficiencies and provide recommendations for better search engine indexing.
- Monitor site migrations, URL changes, and redirects to prevent negative SEO impacts and ensure continuity of rankings.
- Research and implement automation techniques for technical SEO tasks to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure SEO requirements are embedded in website development and platform updates.
- Track and report on key SEO performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up to date with algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging SEO technologies to continuously refine technical SEO strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing or relevant field
- 4+ years of Search Engine Optimization experience
- 4 years' experience with search engine optimization tools such as Botify, Semrush, seoClarity, Google Adwords, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Prior experience coordinating and managing teams
- Experience presenting in large forums and to C- executive management
- 4 years + experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- SEO experience for large retail business
- 3 years' experience in paid search
