Job Overview:
The Senior Compliance Associate, Policies and Education, will play a critical role in designing a best in class compliance training program to educate Lord Abbett employees on regulatory requirements and relevant changes in regulation applicable to Lord Abbett. In addition, the individual will work closely with business counterparts to develop or update relevant compliance policies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. The position will also be responsible for working with the Global Chief Compliance Officer on reporting to Boards and/or clients.
We’ll trust you to:
- Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive program to educate employees on compliance with relevant regulations and their obligations under firm policies. This includes creating the materials, conducting training sessions, and tracking employee progress to completion.
- Collaborate with various departments across the firm, including Corporate Communications and third parties to ensure that scripts and content are relevant, engaging and reflect Lord Abbett’s values.
- Develop, review, and enhance policies and procedures in accordance with the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Stay current with regulatory changes and updates related to the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act.
- Assist in the preparation of the Global Chief Compliance Officer’s reports for Boards, management and regulatory authorities, as required.
- Work on ad hoc projects and other initiatives as needed.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a compliance role in the asset management industry, with a focus on the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act.
- Proven experience developing and delivering compliance training programs in a financial services environment.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise policies, procedures, and reports.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $165,000-$190,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
