Job Overview:
The Senior Compliance Associate, Monitoring and Testing will be responsible for conducting global compliance monitoring and testing activities to ensure that the organization adheres to legal, regulatory, and internal policies and standards. This position requires the ability to work independently with various stakeholders to execute deliverables.
We’ll trust you to:
- Perform compliance testing of policies and procedures in accordance with Investment Company Act Rule 38a-1, Investment Advisers Act Rule 206(4)-7 and other regulatory requirements
- Review, enhance/redesign, and execute Compliance monitoring activities
- Document findings, assessment of issues, and recommendations in detailed written reports
- Communicate testing and monitoring activities and issues in a clear and concise manner to management and stakeholders
- Track and monitor remedial actions to closure
- Responsible for third party oversight, including initial and on-going due diligence, working with Enterprise Risk Management and other key stakeholders
- Assist in the execution of risk assessment framework
- Develop and deliver management reporting and metrics
- Stay current on the regulations, including SEC risk alerts, examination priorities, policies, and best practices relevant to Lord Abbett’s business
- Work on ad-hoc projects, including the implementation and/or upgrade of Compliance technology platforms, development and maintenance of management reporting, etc.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with investment, client services, risk, and technology teams as well as third party service providers, as applicable
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting, or related field, or at least 5 years of experience in compliance, audit, regulatory, or risk management functions
- Knowledge of laws and regulations such as FINRA rules, SEC rules, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and UCITS
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with preferred experience with Power BI or other visualization tools
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Attention to detail, ability to deliver high-quality results within deadlines
- Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing team
- Strong sense of ownership/accountability
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter; proactive approach to work assignments

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $165,000-$190,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
