In the Legal Department, our mission is to provide legal and business advice that facilitates LogicMonitor's strategy, vision, and values. As a crucial member of the client team, your proactive contributions will be essential.

As Director of Legal Operations, you'll be pivotal in assessing, implementing, and managing legal technology to enhance scalability and ensure alignment with Sales, Finance, HR, and Procurement. This role provides plenty of opportunity to make your mark on the organization evaluating and reporting on key performance and financial metrics to the Chief Legal Officer and Executive Leadership Team. Additionally, you'll lead project management for cross-functional collaboration initiatives across the organization, oversee Legal Collaboration Meetings (LCMs), and provide continuous training and communication to the Sales Team on legal matters.

You will gain high visibility with senior management and major customers as you navigate and solve complex, cross-functional challenges.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

  • Execute and adapt the Legal Technology Roadmap based on evolving business needs. Manage the current Legal tech stack efficiently.
  • Track Legal Department performance with key metrics/KPIs and provide regular reports to the Chief Legal Officer and Executive Leadership Team. Manage Legal V2M2s and oversee completion tracking.
  • Lead high-level Legal Department transformation projects and change management. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (including Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, HR, InfoSec, Product) to drive business results.
  • Contribute to strategies for customer, partner, and vendor transactions. Identify and implement solutions to streamline Legal Team operations. Improve Legal intake processes for efficiency and scale.
  • Lead efforts to identify and implement new solutions and optimize existing solutions to streamline Legal Team operations, Improve Legal intake process and workflows with a focus on efficiency and scale
  • Manage Legal vendor and outside counsel relationships. Enforce guidelines, oversee outside counsel spend, and track performance and diversity.
  • Support Sales growth with Sales training resources and regular Legal Sales communications. Implement creative go-to-market process improvements.
  • Provide Sales support, negotiate contracts, and maintain a clause library and contracting workflows.
  • Collaborate with Chief Legal Officer and Finance on building and maintaining Legal budget, spend analysis, forecasting, and future strategy and planning
  • Oversee third-party screening and due diligence program, legal compliance training program, and records management program (including maintenance of templates)
  • Handle global entity management and support innovation through IP portfolio management.
  • Management non-Attorney Staff
  • Build out contract automation and related workflows to streamline the contract management process, ensuring accuracy, and efficiency
  • Create and maintain robust information management processes for the storage of critical legal documents, including contracts, corporate governance materials, policies, and project tracking information
  • Ensure that our legal information is organized, accessible, and compliant
  • Manage legal AI services rollout using Leah Assist for contract management. Creating quality control system and enablement

What You'll Need:
  • B.A or B.S. required
  • 10+ years of legal experience with minimum 5 years of legal project operations and management in-house. Experience with global software/SAAS contracting is a significant advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment, securing support from diverse business stakeholders and collaborating to set objectives and achieve meaningful results
  • Strong experience in developing, procuring, implementing, and using legal department technology solutions (BrightFlag) e.g., matter management, automation tools,(Docusign), contract lifecycle management (ContractPodAI) with (Salesforce) preferred , legal AI service, third party risk tools (blueumbrella)
  • Proficiency in maintaining and updating contract templates, including but not limited to NDAs, vendor agreements, commercial agreements, and data processing agreements, is a must
  • A strong interest in legal practice and processes as well as new developments in the technology that supports the legal profession, thinking of new ways to ethically harness AI
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple deadlines
  • Strategic thinker able to think holistically while focusing on day to day project management and driving results
  • Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills across a wide variety of stakeholders, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to difference audience

Compensation packages at LogicMonitor for eligible roles include base salary, a variable plan depending on role, along with comprehensive benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary target for new hires in the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. LogicMonitor employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. Base Salary Range
