Position: Temporary Assistant Treasurer

Role Overview: Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a Temporary Assistant Treasurer to support the David Geffen Hall Box Office (40 hrs/wk). Reporting to the 1st Assistant Treasurer, the Treasurer is a paramount member of Lincoln Center's dedicated team responsible for all Box Office operations. In addition to facilitating sales and financial settlements, this role serves as a welcoming point of contact for Lincoln Center, providing exceptional customer service.
The position is a union-represented role, and employees are required to join the Local 751 union within 30 days of employment.

Ticketing
- Utilize Tessitura ticketing system to issue tickets to the public and internal departments, generate reports, maintain ticket inventory and all holds, and complete final box office settlement report as assigned
- Distribute will call tickets, re-issue tickets as needed, and complete ticket sales during pre-event time
- Follow proper cash handling procedures while completing sales and reconciling daily transactions, including credit cards and bank deposits
- Adhere, communicate and reinforce Lincoln Center (LC) policies and procedures, as well as policies and procedures specific to the presenting constituent
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Guest Services
- Interact with guests as a main point of contact for Lincoln Center
- Assist guests with ticket purchase decisions, answer general ticketing and Lincoln Center campus questions, and address concerns, requests, and complaints
- Exemplify outstanding characteristics for guest services in all interactions with patrons, guests, and fellow co-workers
- Provide accurate information about an event or venue upon request, including directions, program or constituent organizations
You'll be a fit if you bring:
- Minimum two years of box office experience
- Proven customer service experience
- Experience with ticketing software
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment, and adaptability to a changing environment
- Flexible availability is a must, including being able to work during matinee, evening, and weekend performances
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
