Summary

SUMMARY:
 
The Manager-Retirement Plan and Executive Benefits is a leadership role in Human Resources and oversees the 403(b), 401(k), 457(b), and Defined Benefit retirement plans throughout LifeBridge Health. Manage the ongoing Executive Benefit plans by partnering with vendors, LifeBridge Health finance department, and senior leadership. Partner with Shared Services and site Human Resources to provide program information and respond to employee inquiries. Manage and develop Retirement department staff. Provide coaching and training opportunities, develop goals, and evaluate performance. This manager has two staff direct reports and will report to the Vice President, HR Shared Services.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
Retirement Programs: Manage 403(b), 401(k), 457(b), and Defined Benefit plans for LifeBridge Health.
  • Partner with Information Services, HRIS, and service providers to endure smooth operation of all retirement plans.
  • Provide regular oversight of 3rd party partners to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee weekly reconciliation of contribution files from payroll system.
  • Coordinate virtual and onsite visits for service providers.
  • Ensure administration of the LBH pension plans including defined benefit, cash balance, 401K, 403b plans in accordance with plan documents and all state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and propose/implement appropriate plan design changes. 
  • Assist site HR and plan participants with complex retirement plan issues.
  • Manage annual required plan audits and timely completion of annual regulatory filings.
  • Monitor and reconcile investment balances in the Defined Benefit Pension plan trusts.
  • Manage the LBH Retirement Committee and meetings in compliance with the Charter.
  • Other responsibilities as required.
Executive Benefits: Support the ongoing Executive Benefit plans for LifeBridge Health.
  • Manage Executive Benefit program for full-time executives and eligible physicians.
  • Ensure administration of all Executive benefits plans in accordance with plan documents and all state and federal regulations.
  • Provide support to vendor for contribution and distribution of funds, and to ensure records are kept current and accurate.
  • Partner with LifeBridge Health finance department and senior leadership.
  • Consult with prospective and existing plan participants.
  • Other responsibilities as required.
Management Responsibilities: Supervise and develop team of Retirement Plan & Exec. Benefit Specialists.
  • Abide by the laws and regulations that govern our business to ensure operational excellence. Ensure competencies are completed for employees.
  • Monitor operating expense performance of assigned department with respect to annual budget and other targets established by senior leadership.
  • Timely notification of the CHRO and/or CFO of any discrepancies or deviations from normal operations of all retirement and executive benefit plans
  • Communicate, collaborate, and cultivate an atmosphere of inclusion/belonging.
  • Ensure appropriate hiring and provide a welcoming and supporting environment for new team members.
  • Ensure team members' pay is accurate and effective to meet business needs.
  • Manage the performance and development of individuals and teams. Responsible for directing, assigning, and reviewing work. Responsible for discipline of employees or providing input for disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
  • Commit to being a good steward of LifeBridge Health’s resources.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or other relevant field; Preferred: Master’s degree. 
  • 5-7 years managing multiple retirement plans with over $50M in assets.
