This role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in the office) and we will only consider candidates based in Boston, MA / Portsmouth, NH / Plano,TX.

Job introduction :

The Technology Finance organization is looking to add a Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst to their team. In this role, the candidate will be a s trategic enabler for the company to improve cost, quality, and value of technology products and services, as well as improving expense ratios and operational excellence. The candidate will manage a portion of the technology shared service catalog. Collaborate heavily with leaders in Technology, Finance, and Business Units to analyze consumption trends, understand cost pressures, and anticipate emerging technologies.

About the job:
  • In collaboration with TBM Manager, serves as a strategic partner to technology organization by helping to drive the adoption of the TBM practice through cost modeling, trend analysis, and insight hunting.
  • Reporting : Help to create dashboards & reports in Apptio & Power BI that enable insights hunting and cost optimization.
  • Insights Hunting : Drive adoption and train stakeholders on how to hunt for insights. Augment Technology Finance with insights hunting, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Value Management : Track insights, actions, and wins. Support technology leaders with business partner reviews. Review consumption patterns and set quarterly chargeback rates that influence cost and consumption behaviors.
  • Maintain Cost Models : Maintain configuration rules and mapping tables for taxonomies, chargeback, cost models, org structure, etc. Evolve models to improve decision making using a good, better, best approach.
  • Data Management : Operationalize daily, weekly, monthly data feeds by validating, reviewing, and reconciling on a timely basis. Resolve data quality issues with data owners. Improve data quality and identify new data sources resulting in more significant insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent; MBA, CPA, CFA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of work Technology / Finance or TBM work experience required.
  • You must have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, agile development concepts, consumption drivers, budgets, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient communication and reporting/presentation skills for leadership required.
  • Experience in change management and executing adoption of new concepts/tools/processes is required.
  • Expert analytical (what-if/impact scenario analysis and data transformation) skills are required.
  • SQL, Data modelling and application of relational database concepts highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of TBM processes and methodologies required.
  • Certifications in Technology Business Management (TBM) is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Apptio configuration and report writing highly preferred.
  • Comfortable leading cross functional teams within a matrixed, federated, global environment inclusive of consulting partners, outsourced staff, and software service providers.
  • Vendor management experience is highly preferred.
