Description
The USRM Agency Distribution Solutions team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst with strong financial knowledge and an analytical background to join our team. This new team member will focus on accounting support for the fast-growing Choice program that enables both Comparion and Direct (Direct Response Center, Digital and Strategic Partnerships Group) channels.

This role will have responsibilities related to expense allocation, vendor management, invoicing & ARIBA contract support, planning, variance analysis, standard monthly accounting processes, and various accounting projects. A key focus will be collaborating with cross functional teams and vendor partners to help establish expense discipline while operating in a deadline focused, fast-paced environment. As part of the ADS Financial Insights team, this person will interact with various stakeholders across Procurement, Treasury, Accounting, and USRM Planning to drive transparency and resolve accounting issues with an eye towards continuous improvement and ensuring strong internal controls.
This role is open to remote work. If you are within 50-mile radius of the Boston, MA office you will be required to go into the office twice a week. Please note that this policy is subject to change.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees functions of the monthly, quarterly and annual book close cycles, monitoring timely completion and escalating issues for resolution.
- Creates increasingly complex financial statement schedules, audit support schedules and other reports in a timely manner.
- Produces ad hoc and on-going financial reports that assist the business in making decisions, effectively communicating trends and outcomes to senior management.
- Researches and applies accounting policy to business issues that arise.
- Establishes, documents and performs internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Understands how data flows through the financial systems to the accounting function to identify issues and take action to address them.
- Continually assesses the business value and efficiency of the work performed, making suggestions for improvements and collaborating with others in implementing them. Leads or actively participates in increasingly complex department projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Assists in developing accurate financial expense plans through budgeting, monitoring, and problem-solving.
Strong influencing and communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
Demonstrates a strong understanding of business ethics
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) is required
- Minimum of 3 years of finance experience
- Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results
- Communicates effectively with teammates and others, leading meetings and interacting with increasingly higher levels of management to gather information and effectively present results and recommendations
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word is preferred
