Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

  • Contribute to the creation of product vision and alignment with strategic priorities with stakeholders.
  • Communicate the product and portfolio vision to their squad/team and other squads/teams outside their portfolio/functional area.
  • Contribute towards achieving assigned product KPIs.
  • Manage product(s) with a low-medium degree of strategy, scope, and complexity.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog and is accountable for its contents, prioritization, and acceptance criteria.
  • Accountable for clear, actionable user stories.
  • Set priorities and actively participate in squad/team quarterly planning.
  • Set expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
  • Participate in squad/team demos, retrospectives, and all other ceremonies.
  • Work daily with the Agile working group clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating, and supporting alignment around product strategy.
  • Contribute to aligning development and business goals and priorities while working with stakeholders and squad/team to remove roadblocks to execution.
  • Monitor and maintain the product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency, and balancing long and short term and costs with desired outcomes.
  • Analyze feasibility, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product.
  • Understand regulatory, compliance, and other industry constraints on the product and prioritizes accordingly.
  • Negotiate with immediate squads/teams to ensure priorities are aligned in a portfolio.
  • Collaboratively build the squad/team product roadmap based on strategy and ongoing input from stakeholders.
  • Communicate expected value and any changes in value to be delivered in each iteration (sprint, monthly, quarterly, etc.) based on the squad/team-determined capacity.
  • Contribute in customer-driven design and usability testing.
  • Ensure a well-positioned product through market & industry analysis.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 60%

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Product Owner I related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:
  • Working with Agile teams.
  • Working in business, technology, or consulting.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management.
  • Communicating moderate to complex ideas, issues, and designs.
  • Creating, managing, and tracking tasks and issues in JIRA Cloud, including creating new issues, assigning them to team members, setting priorities, attaching files, and updating status and progress.
  • Demonstrable understanding of agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and their implementation in JIRA Cloud, including creating and managing sprints, backlogs, and user stories, tracking progress with burndown charts or Kanban boards, and conducting sprint planning and reviews.
  • Proficient in Office 365, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Working on Workday ERP tool experience.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
