The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
- Supports Liberty International's Senior executives in making strategic decisions related to operational best practices.
- Defines and develops processes for Liberty International in collaboration and alignment with Liberty Mutual Global stakeholders.
- Develops and maintains competitive knowledge and expertise in areas of products, business strategies, industry trends and other developments.
- Captures and disseminates competitive intelligence across Liberty International.
- Builds and manages relationships with Lines of Business VPs and Country Field Operations that will enable successful process developments.
- Act as the project lead for various initiatives regionally and in-country to ensure the completion of work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identifies challenges to Liberty International growth and expansion and then develops and proposes solutions.
- Works with local country operations to research, prospect, develop and capture efficiency and effectiveness opportunities that support business strategies to drive the long-term growth and profitability of Liberty International's Latin America business.
- Travel required up to 25%.
- Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Engineering, Engineering, Business, International Management or related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Director-Special Projects, MGR-related occupation.
Position also requires demonstrable experience in the following:
- Three years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries in Latin American markets.
- Consulting projects and financial business modeling for Latin American business case evaluation.
- Managing employees.
- Direct insurance and reinsurance operations in the US and Latin America including distribution, operations, reinsurance, claims, finance, and underwriting.
- Advanced business and financial modeling skills.
- Insurance accounting.
- Financial analysis, reporting and planning.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, cube reporting, PowerPivot, Power Query and Power View.
- Practical knowledge on specialty commercial Property and Casualty products such as Fire, Construction, Fine Arts, General Liability, Specialty Casualty, Cargo, Strikes Riots & Civil Commotion, etc., both in insurance and reinsurance markets, and retail and wholesale models.
- Travel required up to 25%.
- Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
