As the Operations & Special Projects Leader for Services Sourcing, you will drive the achievement of business outcomes through strong operational rhythms; documentation and continuous improvement of processes; and deployment of Lean (specifically FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace's proprietary Lean operating system). This role will enable the team to achieve objectives and operate efficiently and sustainably. Skills in organization, project management, communication, motivation, and ruthless prioritization will be key to success.

The Services Sourcing team is the spot within Sourcing that is closest to the customer and to value-generation in the area of maintenance, repair and overhaul.
In this position, you will grow your understanding of the full product life cycle and the aftermarket opportunities that are a crucial part of our suppliers' commercial landscape. Your work on the team's operations and special projects will be a tremendous learning opportunity regarding the commercial and operational landscape of the GE Aerospace aftermarket, and a catalyst for broad relationships within our MRO shops, product lines, fleet support management, and customer teams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Run and continuously improve the team's operating rhythms, management of key performance indicators, and documentation of processes
  • Facilitate action planning and structured problem solving, in accordance with FLIGHT DECK
  • Facilitate and contribute to the development, standardization, and improvement of supplier management tools such as scorecards and business review meetings, including collaboration with stakeholders outside the Services Sourcing team
  • Manage and contribute work to special projects that improve operational and commercial outcomes in the aftermarket, including data systems, workflows, processes, communications methods, and connection rhythms.
  • Plan and execute team engagement activities and feedback mechanisms, both in-person and digital
  • Use good judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems across different teams, such as product line, engineering, and MRO shop stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in operations, Lean coaching, and/or project management).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in operations, Lean coaching, and/or project management

The base pay range for this position is 130,000.00 - 180,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on March 14, 2025.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
