Description and Requirements
The Supply Chain Sr. Project/Program Manager is responsible for managing product life cycle from the early stage of development into transfer of the product to Manufacturing.
This role must be able to interface with Finance, Development teams, Motorola Portfolio teams, supplier business management, materials, planning, CM organization and all departments within Motorola Supply Chain.
In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to interface effectively with Sr. Management inside and outside the company.
The Project Manager will provide daily interface with the 3rd party (CM) provider for assembly, test and automation of our mobile devices. This role will manage third party activities, deliveries and cost.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the successful manufacturing operation, driving cost, and interacting with finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Roadmap, Specific New Product Introduction activities; Cross managing different functions internally and with the CM; Create NPI Schedule, align with Global, Local and CM teams Manage each step of NPI: Prototyping, Pilot, Ramp, Shipping, Time to Market is a critical aspect of this function Responsible for all aspects of business continuity and crisis management. Support in continuous improvement and optimization of the NPI processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Technical Degree in Engineering or other areas relevant to Supply Chain.
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing Engineering, Project Management and Life Cycle.
- Understanding of product development process
- Strong organizational and program management skills
- Advanced English skills (written and spoken).
- Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills, both verbal & written, in English and local language
- Ability to influence and persuade multiple stakeholders/teams towards common objectives.
- Ability to develop cost models and understanding of key cost drivers
- Self-motivated, able to work autonomously.
- Ability to lead and manage an indirect team.
- Ability to work across functions and cultures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in multinational companies, within a matrix reporting structure.
- MBA, Masters, PMI certification or further specialization is desirable.
