Description and Requirements
Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with extensive program management experience to lead and oversee a complex, large-scale project and program for the Digital Workplace Solutions Delivery Team within the Lenovo Services & Solutions Group (SSG).
This role will reside within the AP Project Management Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the successful execution of a critical project in accordance with quality standards, while ensuring client satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining effective communication between the client, internal teams and sub-contracted partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Lead project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to exposure.
- Monitor project progress and performance; identify and mitigate project risks, proactively address issues and implement resolution strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost effectiveness.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and policies, aligned with PMO Governance and Compliance guidelines.
- Monitor program performance and report on progress to executive management.
- Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, or a related field.
- Current PMP/Prince/Prince 2 certification (at least one)
- Proven IT experience (11+ years), including at least 6 years in project and program management. Customer-facing experience managing complex IT projects from initiation to closure.
- Proven experience supporting at least 2 significant sporting or public events.
- Possess experience in supporting full stack solution project management (including Client, Edge, Cloud, Network, Security and Application).
- Possess experience in supporting major Hong Kong Government projects as a Project Manager (TCV HKD $3M and above).
- Good command written English and technical writing, fluent in spoken Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. Self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with diverse and cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with MS Teams and Dynamics 365 preferred.
