Description and Requirements
Lenovo is looking for a Channel Manager to lead our channel partnerships and drive growth across Southern Africa. This role is essential to expanding Lenovo's footprint, developing strategic channel relationships, and ensuring strong performance within a dynamic market. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with substantial experience in channel management and team leadership, adept at collaborating with senior stakeholders and directing high-impact initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Channel Leadership: Develop and lead channel strategies to drive market growth and achieve business objectives.
- Team Management: Oversee and mentor a team, fostering a results-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal leadership and cross-functional teams to support company-wide goals and initiatives.
- Executive Relationship Building: Engage and influence senior executives and CXOs across the channel ecosystem to strengthen strategic alliances and drive business growth.
- Market Growth & Consistency: Ensure consistent performance and growth in the SMB market segment, solidifying Lenovo's leading position across the region.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and industry stakeholders to drive mutual success.
- Market Development: Identify opportunities for market expansion and ensure consistent execution to enhance Lenovo's competitive position.
- Sales Strategy Oversight: Shape and implement sales strategies in alignment with Lenovo's broader market approach.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 8 years in channel management, ideally in technology or a related industry, with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding growth objectives.
- Leadership Skills: At least 5 years of experience managing teams within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Southern African market, with established connections and proven success in managing channel relationships.
- Executive Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives and CXOs across the channel ecosystem.
- Collaborative Approach: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Market Growth & Consistency: Experience driving consistent performance and growth in SMB market segments.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to set and execute strategic initiatives that align with overarching business goals.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
