Description

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Uncrewed Systems Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in unmanned aircraft and payload design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting. General skills required include electromechanical design, fabrication, integration, testing, and troubleshooting. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail. The candidate must also be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, integrate, and test unmanned aircraft systems and payloads.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to unmanned aircraft and payloads.
  • Conduct electromechanical design, fabrication, integration, and testing for various projects.
  • Diagnose and repair electromechanical systems and components.
  • Design, fabricate, and integrate composite materials for various applications.
  • Manage and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, test results, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Manage tool control, ensuring all tools are accounted for and properly maintained.
  • Perform crew chief duties, overseeing maintenance teams and coordinating tasks to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Mentor less experienced team members, providing guidance and training to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience; 4 additional years of related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiar with the latest advancements in unmanned aircraft, electromechanical technologies, and composite materials.
  • Proven experience in unmanned aircraft and payload design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong background in electromechanical design, fabrication, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with composite materials and fabrication techniques.
  • Proficiency in using relevant design and testing software/tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Relevant technical certification or degree preferred.
  • Experience in tool control and crew chief duties is a plus.
  • Previous experience in mentoring or training junior technicians is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Must possess and maintain a current FAA Part 107 Certificate.
  • Must possess and maintain an FAA Class II medical or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
