Description

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Software / DevSecOps Engineer. In this position you will work in a diverse environment that allows you to get into every aspect of infrastructure, configuration, and software deployment across the software development lifecycle. You will use your experience to guide the implementation, delivery and sustainment of reusable and repeatable solutions focused on deploying the Leidos Secure Development Environment that supports hundreds of programs and thousands of software engineers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leverage open-source and in-house tools to manage infrastructure via code, designing reusable code for deploying and updating infrastructure components and software tools for scalable, highly-available, secure CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code architectures for deployment and sustainment of container-based applications within Kubernetes.

• Assist in providing input and expertise to senior engineers to maintain alignments with Leidos best practices and recommending system improvements while overseeing the automated deployment, roll-back, and monitoring of applications into software development, test, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain automated GitOps workflows (Argo CD and GitLab) build/deployment pipelines using GitLab, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and Ansible.
• Apply DevOps expertise to ensure congruence of the various infrastructure, software, configurations and interfaces maintained under configuration control.
• Work with an Agile team, attend daily scrums; communicating and collaborating frequently with teammates to ensure successful completion of project objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, and system issues.
• Proactively and independently identify, report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience. Additional years experience may be used in lieu of a degree.

• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Skills and experience with:
• Containerization
• Virtualization
• Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, RKE2)
• Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, VMware)
• Linux system administration
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Security
• Understanding of cryptography
• Knowledge of NIST 800-171 or other regulatory compliance experience
• Golang (or similar language experience and desire to learn)
• Helm, kubectl, linux, docker•

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• OIDC
• Networking
• Monitoring and Logging
• Security
• Understanding of cryptography
• Customized, bash
• Experience building and maintaining Software as a Service (SaaS)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
