We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Tester with expertise in conducting testing activities within CI/CD pipelines and performing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our software products across various hardware environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Automated Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated tests to validate software functionality, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
  • CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with software development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and feedback throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Monitor CI/CD pipelines, test results, and system logs to identify issues, regressions, and performance bottlenecks early in the development process.
  • Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce unintended side effects or break existing functionality.
  • Hardware-in-the-Loop Testing: Set up and configure hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments to simulate real-world hardware interactions and validate software behavior across different hardware platforms.
  • Test Execution and Reporting: Execute manual and automated tests, record test results, and generate test reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and drive decision-making.
  • Defect Management: Identify, report, and prioritize software defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.
  • Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to the improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and test coverage.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document test cases, procedures, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team through documentation, training sessions, and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and HIL testing.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Simulink, dSpace, National Instruments).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Posses an active Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
