Description

Leidos is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Project Manager to be part of a dynamic team responsible for independently managing the full lifecycle of network and systems engineering projects. The Project Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee and manage critical mission network-related projects from inception to completion. This includes identifying end user requirements, initial planning, executing, monitoring, and ensuring technical solutions are implemented within a board-approved schedule. The Project Manager must ensure that network projects are within budget while meeting all technical requirements and business objectives.

• Identify project resources required and assign projects to network engineers and/or system engineers

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, including meeting with stakeholders and see projects through governance review boards

• Effectively communicate project requirements and expectations to engineers and product line managers

• Report on project progress, dependencies, problems, and solutions

• Ensure all project documentation is complete, organized and stored appropriately

• Establish and implement streamlined processes and procedures

• Direct the daily operations of the projects by establishing priorities, analyzing workflow, developing standards, and setting deadlines

• Attend/lead project management review boards and other customer related meetings regarding the status of projects

• Create briefings and project documentation

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, as required

• Support security accreditation compliance requirements for all engineering projects

Required Qualifications:

• Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this position

• Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years' experience

• 8+ years as a Project Manager managing technical projects in a customer's environment

• Must have experience managing multiple high-level and high-visibility projects in a fast-paced environment

• Experience coordinating and synchronizing a number of IT projects, developing and maintaining a master schedule, developing and maintaining a high-level budget, and preparing senior management communication briefs

• Proven experience leading teams and working across organizational boundaries to meet mission requirements

• Ability to work with a team of engineers and senior management and have an ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all groups

• Proven experience managing projects within schedule, scope and cost

• Proven experience briefing senior leadership

• Experience utilizing MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Desired Qualifications

• PMP Certification

• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and familiarity of cloud-based environments and vendors (i.e. AWS, Azure, and/or Google)

• Familiarity of data center infrastructure and technologies

• Experience utilizing knowledge management and project management tools (i.e. Jira, Remedy, Confluence, or other Agile tools)

• Knowledge of security accreditation and compliance processes

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
