We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager who will join our Professional Services team, which is a client-centric results-oriented hands-on group focusing on delivering end-to-end business and technical solutions to GE Vernova's customers and partners.

Reporting to the Director - DERMS PMO, the Project Manager works truly cross-functional: working closely with our partners, sales and strategic growth team, solution specialists, product managers, and research & development team. This role requires an individual with the flexibility and leadership qualities to manage multiple and often complex projects while focusing on client management, client communication, and quality of services.

You are confident, passionate, optimistic and a team-oriented project leader, who understands emerging energy industry trends and implications on utilities. You can lead the project delivery process with responsibility for overall project execution of our DERMS software solution while ensuring seamless client management.
As a Project Manager you bring people, processes, and technology together to deliver a powerful and effective delivery experience for GE Vernova's customers. You have the ability to think strategically, have a sharp focus on revenue generation, be able to drive activities when required, and effectively manage stakeholders - internally and externally.
What will our new Project Manager work on?
- Leading projects using project management tools & techniques and contributing to the on-going development of the PMO
- Manage the initiation, planning, execution, and delivery of prioritized initiatives to ensure that business objectives and stakeholder expectations are met
- Develop and coordinate the gathering of project work activities; determining deliverables and budgets based on the scope of work and resource requirements, detailed project schedules and work plans
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage those resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Produce high quality deliverables and establish effective project communication plan for all stages of project planning and execution - including project documentation and reporting
- Ensure all project documentation and deliverables are completed as per plan, and stored securely with appropriate accessibility controls
- Ensure that all necessary risk assessments and risk assessment processes are carried out at the appropriate time (Architecture, Governance, Security Threat Risk Assessment, and Operational review and compliance)
- Manage issues, risks, and escalations in a proactive manner, engage relevant stakeholders and team supports as required
- Build strong relationships and manage project teams of internal and external resources and manage customer expectations by identifying customer success criteria and satisfaction indicators
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Provide feedback and coaching to project team members as well as working with them to identify and resolve issues
- Effectively manage a complex mix of utilities, technology providers, and government entities in a professional manner
- Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
- Track project costs against budget and determine estimate-to-complete while ensuring time sheets and expense records are correct and accurate.
Here's what you bring:
Required Skills:
- The education. Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- The experience. 7+ years' hands-on project management experience in a commercial software environment. An understanding of energy policy & innovation and utilities regulatory environment.
- Customer/Client orientation. You strive to provide customers/clients with personalized and efficient service by anticipating their needs and quickly following up on customer/client contacts and queries
Nice to have:
- Planning & Objective setting. You produce project implementation plans that are systematic; in which objectives are defined and steps for achieving them are clearly specified
- Initiative. You are proactive in seizing opportunities and eager to act upon them immediately. You are serious in taking responsibility for your own actions and love to address problems before asked.
- Relationship building. A proven track record of relationship management, and dealing effectively with senior management internally and externally
- Communication. You are clear both verbally and in writing. You can communicate your thoughts logically in ways that others can understand.
- PMP certification
- Electric utility or consulting experience
- Experience with MS Project
