Description

Leidos Maritime System Solutions (MSS) is seeking a Project Coordinator to work as part of a development team in a fast-paced, research, development, testing and evaluation environment at the Naval Information Warfare Center located in San Diego, CA. This position will require the candidate to obtain and hold a Secret Clearance at a minimum.

As the Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning and organizing resources and procurements to ensure the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives under the guidance of the Project Managers and Engineers. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations of various projects and serve as a liaison between the team members and the Project Managers, organizing and conveying details related to specific tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage Project inventory:
    • Track, monitor, locate, and document inventory.
    • Analyze results of inventory reconciliation to identify causes of discrepancies and recommend appropriate changes to processes, procedures, or automated systems.
    • Develop and Implement lab protocols.
    • Maintain organization/cleanliness in the lab.
    • Space planning and efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate procurements:
    • Interface with the engineers and material planners to receive, review, process, and monitor incoming requisitions and takes appropriate action to ensure completion.
    • Research vendors and products for project engineers and complete purchase requisitions.
    • Track requisitions through the procurement process.
    • Distribute received items after catalogued, coded, and entered into database.
  • Develop, implement, and perform CM plans, which documents the CM strategy, policies, processes, methods, and tools for the project or system.
  • Microsoft Teams Admin
    • Develop automated process in Power Automate.
    • Build Reports with Power Bi.
    • Manage SharePoint file organization.
    • Build processes into Teams environment using lists and/or power aps.
  • Work to achieve day-to-day objectives by assisting the Project Managers (PMs) & Project Engineers in developing weekly project status reports. The Project Coordinator is responsible for producing these reports in the absence of the PM.
  • Communicate with colleagues across multiple areas (Including but not limited to Project managers, Configuration Control Manager, Project Engineers, Compliance Manager, etc.) to ensure project products are progressing and posted to the appropriate places, such as MS SharePoint or MS Teams
  • Organize logistics for major customer meetings, including but not limited to preparing agendas, reserving conference rooms, and assembling and distributing welcome packages.
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes for customer calls and weekly team meetings, ensuring all key point and action items are documented.
  • Monitor and follow up on action items from meeting ensuring timely completions and communications of progress.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Use general comprehension of industry practices to find the appropriate point of contact when questions outside the Project Coordinator's expertise are asked.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must establish compliance with all directives for secure handling of documents.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining proper priorities and scheduling on extremely tight deadlines.
  • Effectively work as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Secret Security Clearance at a minimum, required, or ability to obtain if hired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inventory management using SQL based databases.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project Online.
  • Microsoft Certification: Power Platform Fundamentals.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
