Primary Responsibilities
-The selected candidate will interface with all levels of Leidos management and customer representatives to ensure contract security compliance with applicable security requirements.
-Additional duties for the selected candidate will include back-up support for processing all aspects of the personnel security functions (e.g., processing new employees for security clearances, processing individuals for necessary badges, and processing incoming / outgoing visit requests, request for access actions, and other duties as assigned).

-The selected candidate will assist in the maintenance of Security Information Management System (SIMS) data base by providing inputs to the Classified Matter Control (CMC) manager on incoming and outgoing classified hardware, software, documents, or any other classified items.
-The selected candidate will maintain the personnel clearance database(s) which includes: processing of new clearance requests by interfacing with Leidos personnel and customer representatives, managing the administration of all security-specific training and training records to applicable Leidos personnel, regular reporting to both customer representatives and Leidos management.
-The selected candidate will manage most security-specific interactions with customer personnel, with support from the program management team. This includes (as it relates to the program or program personnel): personnel security clearances, classified matter protection/controls, physical security at Leidos sites, classified visitor requests (incoming and outgoing), and overall security plan management.
-The selected candidate must be comfortable working in a high pace/dynamic environment.
-High standards of professionalism are essential, as well as the ability to operate under minimal supervision.
-The candidate will be required to conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.
-The candidate must possess the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning high value contract and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information.
-Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience. For well qualified candidates years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
-Understanding of DOE program security requirements across the different security functions (physical, personnel, document control, IT/IA, etc.) is required.
-Self-started with ability to work independently, customer service oriented.
-Commitment to security - creating and delivering the highest value to customers
-Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations.
-Strong communications skills, both oral and written
-Candidate must be a US citizen and possess or be able to obtain (as well as maintain) a final DOE Q clearance
Preferred Qualifications
-Possess an active DOE Q Clearance
-Previous experience managing security for DOE classified programs.
-Preference will be shown for highly qualified candidates with direct security experience who can locate to the Huntsville, AL area, however candidates that desire to work remotely in locations near to the program's customer locations will be given special consideration.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
