Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system integration, performance, and deployment.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for mission-critical systems, focusing on Linux-based environments and containerized applications.
- Implement and maintain system configurations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and stability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for supported systems, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Perform system installation, configuration, and support of fielded systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and tools.
- Role includes providing level 1-2 end-user support through answering phone calls and emails. Providing remote support will include assisting the user with configuration changes, patch updates, and functionality testing.
Basic Qualifications:
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 4-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum 12 years of experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
- Must be comfortable taking phone calls from the customer and providing end-user support.
- On-site work (no remote) with ability to travel up to 25%.
- Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
- U.S. citizenship and current Final Secret Clearance is required. Ability to maintain active final Secret Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Linux systems administration.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift platform.
- Experience with advanced network configuration and management, including managed switches and firewalls.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting.
- IAT Level II Certification.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
