Description
Leidos' Mid-Atlantic Depot (MAD) located in Chesapeake; VA has an opening for a Material Control Specialist supporting Chesapeake Depot Facility logistics department. This role is responsible for managing material flow in and out of the warehouse, tracking inventory, and ensuring stock levels are maintained. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and Subcontract Program Managers to ensure timely receipt and accurate accounting of materials, while supporting production schedules and reducing material shortages. Additionally, the role includes ensuring proper identification, storage, and organization of materials at the facility. Additional duties will include PCard procurement as needed.

- Inventory Management: Planning, controlling, and optimizing stock of goods to meet customer demand, minimize carrying costs, and maximize operational efficiency.
- Logistics Management: Strategizing and coordinating the movement of goods and resources to meet customer demands and minimize costs.
- Logistics Systems: Implementing and managing systems to optimize the flow of goods, information, and resources throughout the supply chain.
- Materials Management: Controlling the acquisition, storage, and distribution of materials to support production and operations.
- Process Improvements: Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to processes to address them.
- Warehousing Operations: Overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of goods within a warehouse facility to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Basic Qualifications.
- Generally requires a BA degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or a Masters with less than 2 years of relevant experience. 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- US citizenship required.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Logistics Management and Planning
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Proficiency with computer database systems
- Proficiency of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficiency in PCard procurement policies and processes
- Proficiency with Goods Receipts processes

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
