The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Integration & Transition Manager to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the secure integration, validation, and seamless transition of cybersecurity solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of security technology deployments, ensuring that security controls, systems, and processes are thoroughly tested and transitioned to production environments while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security architects, engineers, and operations personnel, to oversee integration, testing, and transition plans.
  • Responsible for developing test strategies, performing rigorous security evaluations, and managing the smooth deployment of cybersecurity solutions into live environments.
  • Responsible for conducting analysis of transition planning, intelligence information requirements, and developing architecture baselines.
  • Duties may include providing research and assistance with implementation of community policies and guidance.
  • May support business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements.
  • Lead the team in developing new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the project/family.
  • Communicate with parties within and outside of own area, which may include external constituents depending upon the area.
  • Influence others outside of own area on policies, practices and procedures.
  • Manage a large team of experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Lead, direct, and review the work of team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Responsible for hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority within own area, in accordance with manager review and approval.
  • Lead the integration of cybersecurity solutions into enterprise environments, ensuring seamless interoperability with existing systems and networks.
  • Design and implement security controls, tools, and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and SIEM solutions.
  • Coordinate with security architects and engineering teams to validate that security solutions align with business requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed integration plans, including timelines, milestones, and risk assessments to ensure successful deployments.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity test plans that evaluate system security, functionality, and performance.
  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits to validate security posture and identify gaps.
  • Perform rigorous user acceptance testing and system integration testing to ensure that security controls and technologies operate as intended.
  • Utilize automated testing tools to assess the effectiveness of security configurations and policies.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure application deployment.
  • Manage the transition of cybersecurity solutions from development and test environments to production, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
  • Develop and implement detailed transition plans, including change management, communication strategies, and training for end-users and operations teams.
  • Coordinate with IT and security operations to ensure a smooth handover of security technologies with complete documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor post-transition performance, validate system stability, and ensure continued compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Ensure that all integrated and transitioned cybersecurity solutions comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks during the integration, testing, and transition phases to minimize potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct security gap analyses and develop mitigation strategies to enhance the security posture of enterprise systems.
  • Establish security baselines and ensure that new solutions meet established security benchmarks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration, testing, and transition activities, including system configurations, test results, and operational procedures.
  • Create detailed post-transition reports, highlighting lessons learned and recommendations for future improvements.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 12 plus years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 10 plus years or prior relevant experience. Generally has 7 plus years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Understanding of DoD IT security protocols and requirements
  • Proven experience managing the integration of complex cybersecurity solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security platforms.
  • Hands-on experience conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
  • Expertise in change management, configuration management, and transition planning for cybersecurity solutions.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools used in DevSecOps environments (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).

Favorable if you have:

  • Relevant certifications like CISSP, CCSP, GCED, etc.
  • Experience with cloud security technologies and platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust architectures and microsegmentation principles.
