Description
Leidos is seeking a Business Systems Integrator to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Dental Record (EDR) Program. This is a remote US position.
*The position requires US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency (Green Card) Status and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
The IHS Electronic Dental Record (EDR) program currently deploys the EDR solution across multiple American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) dental clinics nationwide. In this role, the EDR Business Systems Integrator will work closely with EDR technical leadership and customer sites to gather, develop, document, and implement customer-specific requirements within the EDR system. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. A core focus for the Business Systems Integrator will be facilitating and enhancing HL7, FHIR, and other third-party system integrations to ensure seamless interoperability, data exchange, and compliance with healthcare standards. Through this collaboration, the Analyst will drive the optimization of EDR capabilities to meet the needs of each clinic and support the overarching goals of the IHS EDR program.

Responsibilities Include:
- Meet with IHS dental sites to gather and understand their requirements, challenges, and objectives.
- Facilitate detailed functional and non-functional requirements sessions with IHS department leads
- Gather input from different vendors or teams to support requirement development and implementation.
- Collaborate with EDR technical leadership to prioritize requirements based on business impact and technical feasibility.
- Analyze business processes to identify areas for improvement or automation.
- Define and document business process changes needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Support documentation of current and to-be clinical workflows
- Support development of a Data Management Plan
- Support development of Interface Control Documents
- Support development of Interface Sequence Diagrams
- Support the creation of process maps, data models, and other diagrams to represent business processes and systems.
- Act as a bridge between users and IT teams, translating business requirements into clear, technical specifications.
- Ensure that developers, testers, and other IT team members understand the business perspective.
- Collaborate with EDR technical leadership, developers and system modelers to design technical solutions.
- Collaborate with EDR Technical leadership to evaluate possible solutions (e.g., software applications or systems) to find the best fit for business requirements.
- Provide cost-benefit analysis or feasibility studies for proposed solutions.
- Responsible for the coordination of test planning for various types of projects.
- Develop test cases and work with QA teams to validate that solutions meet business requirements.
- Coordinate or participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure end users approve of the final solution.
- Collaborate with EDR training team and help train end-users or develop documentation and guides.
- Provide support in tracking and managing issues and defects within Dentrix Enterprise. Assist in monitoring of site feedback and issues, consolidating troubleshooting/issue resolution processes and documentation
- Assist in change management efforts and data migration efforts to facilitate a smooth transition for end-users
- Monitor systems post-implementation to ensure they meet business objectives.
- Recommend improvements or optimizations based on user feedback and changing business needs.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of EDR, balancing customer-driven enhancements with technology challenges
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, HIEs.
- PMI PMP Certification and/or MBA.
- Navigate between levels of technical detail across a breadth of technologies and capabilities to best understand "as-is" and appreciate the implications of "to-be" recommendations.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
- Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes; ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams.
- Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening); ability to articulate solutions and rationale for design decisions, ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Strong technical writing experience and presenting solutions to both business and technical stakeholders, including leading technical section approaches.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HHS Experience a plus. IHS experience a big plus
- Experience with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of IT Security compliance specifications (HIPAA, FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP)
- Experience with Cameo or other model-based systems engineering tools and practices
- Experience or working knowledge of Dentrix Enterprise
- Experience with databases, namely SQL Server
- Knowledge of Remote Desktop Application deployment
- Understanding of Microsoft Windows OSx, and SQL databases
- Experience with large-scale enterprise system of systems integration and deployment

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
