Labcorp is seeking a Technical Writer with a robust background in writing clear, concise technical documentation related to data systems and technology solutions in clinical sciences and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Labcorp's Clinical Trial Enablement Services offerings via the Real World Data (RWD) team. The candidate should be comfortable with scientific complexity, be deeply interested in the exploring clinical trial diseases and be curious about Labcorp's customer data. They should have the ability to create compelling content that helps Labcorp communicate complex technical content to differentiate our science and services.
The writer will be skilled and versatile with at least 4+ years of overall experience in writing technical documentation related to data systems and technology solutions in medical/clinical audiences in either healthcare, pharmaceutical, biology, health technology or health discipline. This role is responsible for working with the marketing team, business executives and clinical/scientific team on a range of projects including white papers, case studies, blogs, information sheets, e-mail, websites and additional content types. This person must be a fast learner, a creative, visual writer with a passion for creating content for all channels and audiences, who is able to grasp and communicate complex subjects with clear, concise copy. Previous experience of writing for clinical and scientific audiences in a similar role at a corporation, agency or as a journalist is necessary.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Research, interview and create content in customer-friendly formats. Produce high-quality white papers, blogs, case studies and marketing materials aligned with the company's brand guidelines and messaging.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and incorporate feedback into the development of content that will appear across Labcorp channels.
- Partner with product managers, scientific leadership and subject matter experts to identify content opportunities and produce compelling projects/articles. Identify opportunities for content to use in other marketing materials.
- Work with Product/Segment and Marketing teams to ensure content development aligns with product launches and significant communication events, including scientific congresses.
- Support business partners with content that advances Labcorp's mission to improve health and lives and enriches our outreach marketing efforts.
- Create content that resonates with the target audience, while incorporating SEO best practices and a deep understanding of the business positioning and goals.
- Conduct thorough research to gather relevant scientific insights. Develop, write, and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, system specifications, and process guides.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Short-Term Objectives:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the RWD team's target market, including sponsors, CROs, and clinical trial enablement services and products.
- Conduct detailed research to obtain scientific insights and create, write, and manage clear and comprehensive technical documentation, such as user manuals, documentation, system specifications, and process guides.
Long-Term Objectives:
- Continuously gather and analyze market intelligence, becoming an expert on competitive products and industry trends.
- Contribute with engaging content to support go-to-market strategy and branding for the complete Clinical Trial Enablement product suite, including advanced solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Qualifications Required:
- 4- 6 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the data and technology domain with a focus on scientific and clinical publications or degree in technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Undergraduate or higher degree in medical-related science, with a preference for additional qualifications in communications, marketing, English, public health or related fields.
- Strong understanding of how data is used to support clinical trials, specifically in the trial design, site / country selection, site enablement, and patient recruitment space.
Skills Preferred:
- Strong proficiency and understanding of web content, keywords and other digital best practices. Ability to be flexible and write both long and short forms copy.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to engage and excite audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail, storytelling, and communication skills.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and interpersonal abilities.
- A track record of collaborating and developing strong relationships across different teams.
- Scientific curiosity and an understanding of health industry.
- Ability to effectively communicate to healthcare professionals and/or scientists, as well as best practices for user experience and readability.
- Ability to manage a high volume of products and thrive in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
