Corporate IT is searching for an intern to join our team as a Technical Product Owner. This role is designed for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in leadership, project management, and the software development lifecycle. As an intern, you will learn how to develop business solutions for innovative Clinical Decision Support in the healthcare industry.
As a Technical Product Owner intern, you will support development teams within Labcorp, contributing to the design and implementation of standards for web service platforms and embedded solutions in electronic medical record applications. You'll learn to guide and support SCRUM teams working on cutting-edge technology and collaborate with expert users (clinicians, medical experts, laboratorians, and customers), developers, and QA engineers. Through this internship, you'll engage in design and analysis processes that support new clinician workflows, aimed at revolutionizing healthcare on a global scale.

You'll work closely with Product Managers, SCRUM teams, and Business Relationship Managers to communicate priorities, support the Agile development process, and assist in coordinating solutions across hardware, network, cloud, and software layers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support one or more SCRUM teams in Agile project management
- Assist in planning and facilitating meetings and discussions across all phases of the SDLC
- Collaborate with Project Managers on release schedules and solution coordination
- Help communicate team progress, risks, and solutions to leadership
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support the creation of relevant documentation
- Engage in product design, contributing to the analysis of technical requirements
- Verify the functional completeness of deliverables with mentorship from senior team members
- Learn and promote Agile development practices in a collaborative environment
- Participate in creative brainstorming to push the boundaries of healthcare technology
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Interest in software development and Agile methodologies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and contributing to team goals
Pay Range: $22-$25 hourly
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
