**Salary Range: $68,000 - $90,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
- Branch Accessioning & Specimen Processing Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the onsite and field accessioning teams and ensure optimal specimen flow in the regional laboratory.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel in the department, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance, including supervisors and front-line team members.
- Staffing & Scheduling: Ensure the department is adequately staffed for all shifts and positions, coordinating schedules and monitoring daily workflow in the lab.
- Collaboration with Hospital Partners: Regularly engage with hospital lab management teams to address concerns and improve processes. Participate in on-site meetings as needed.
- Operational Improvements: Implement continuous process and service level improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of services.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and operational excellence by ensuring quality metrics are met. Maintain and prepare quality control records and documents.
- Personnel Management: Administer policies and procedures, manage payroll, and maintain accurate personnel files.
- Coaching & Development: Hold regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Administrative Duties: Perform necessary administrative tasks to ensure smooth department operations.
- Facilities Management: Schedule and manage routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and necessary repairs to ensure facility safety and efficiency while also ensuring the cleanliness, security and general upkeep of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is required.
- Strong familiarity with laboratory operations, policies, and procedures and facilities management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage the physical demands of the position.
