Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Management Specialist to join our team at ) in Phoenix, AZ. This position will investigate and drive solutions so specimen issues can be addressed accurately and efficiently. They will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Customer Service and motivated to work with a customer centric team in an innovative company

This role is on-site.

Work Schedule:Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, required overtime as needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Name department

  • Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures


  • Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing


  • Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas


  • Encourage process improvements and best practices


  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy


  • Resolve any production errors as requested by management


  • Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary


  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements


  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy


  • Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures


  • Perform administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Experience working in a contact center/call center environment is preferred Prior healthcare industry, such as a physician's office or a hospital highly is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and/or Laboratory Information Systems is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond
  • Must be courteous with a strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent multitasking abilities required
  • Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
