Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Management Specialist to join our team at ) in Phoenix, AZ. This position will investigate and drive solutions so specimen issues can be addressed accurately and efficiently. They will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Customer Service and motivated to work with a customer centric team in an innovative company.
This role is on-site.
Work Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday from 7 am-3:30 pm

- Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Department Name department

- Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
- Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
- Encourage process improvements and best practices
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Resolve any production errors as requested by management
- Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
- Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
- Perform administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Experience working in a contact center/call center environment is preferred Prior healthcare industry, such as a physician's office or a hospital highly is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required
- Experience with Salesforce.com and/or Laboratory Information Systems is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond
- Must be courteous with a strong customer service orientation
- Excellent multitasking abilities required
- Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
