Labcorp is seeking an Sr. International Captain.

At Labcorp you will contribute as an integral part of a dynamic and growing International Flight team and will be responsible for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner and in accordance with Labcorp GOM, IOM, company policies, Federal Aviation Administration regulations, and Department of Homeland Security regulations as required by the flight operation.

Your Sr International Captain role will work cross-functionally with a diverse group of people including internal and external business partners as well as Labcorp teammates at all levels of the company.

This role reports to the Chief Pilot, while also being the final authority for the operation of the aircraft when acting as the PIC

What to Expect

Working Conditions:

• This position is based at the Burlington Alamance Regional Airport - KBUY
• You will be required to live within a 1-hour drive from the KBUY airport
• You will be part of a Diverse and Inclusive team of aviation professionals.
• You will be working out of a Beautiful New state of the Art Aviation Hangar.
• You will be operating well equipped aircraft that are professionally maintained to the highest standards.
• You will be required to travel as assigned to trips, up to two weeks. (Training could be longer than 2 weeks as necessary)
• You will be required to lift passenger baggage and/or cargo as necessary (ability to lift up to 50lbs.)
• You will be required to wear a uniform.
• Your schedule will be variable, and you will need to be flexible as necessary to meet the needs of the company. This will include weekdays, weekends, days, evenings and some Holidays.
• You will be called on from time to time to help with projects, i.e.: manuals, SOP's, safety reports, pilot meetings, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for safe and efficient transport of passengers and crew.
• Final authority for the operation of the aircraft assigned.
• Communicates with Labcorp Aviation Flight Operations on all details regarding a trip.
• Authority to delay, cancel or discontinue a flight when conditions are unsuitable for the conduct or continuation of the flight. Authority to initiate a change in the planned flight when such a change is appropriate for the safe operation of the aircraft.
• Responsible for flight planning and coordinating changes in the flight schedule as required by en-route conditions ensuring that the flight may be continued safely following the appropriate procedures and rules.
• Responsible for conducting the flight in a safe and prudent manner and in accordance with Labcorp GOM, IOM, company policies, Federal Aviation Administration regulations, and Department of Homeland Security regulations as required by the flight operation.
• Participates in the company aviation SMS, taking an active role supporting the open sharing of information on all safety issues, and reporting all safety hazards and concerns.
• Ensures all country entrance, customs, and security procedures are followed. Ensures all company property is safe and secured while traveling away from home base, to include: the aircraft, i-Pads, phones, computer, and any other Labcorp owned devices and property within your control.
• Ensures that passenger transportation and security are arranged as needed. Ensures that manuals and charts are on board the aircraft and up to date. For electronic copies, ensures all databases are up to date.
• Ensures that the aircraft is properly released from maintenance and ready for operation.
• Ensures passenger stock is adequately supplied and stored.
• Ensures the aircraft is tidy and cleaned.
• Organizes catering and ensures other customer specific items are on board the aircraft.
• Makes an immediate report following any hazardous condition, conduct or event, to the Director of Safety, Chief Pilot and/or Executive Director of Aviation.
• Ensures briefings include health and safety information as needed.
• Fosters a safe and professional environment. Maintains appearance and uniform to the Labcorp standard.
• Immediately communicates any potential AOG concerns to Labcorp Aviation.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• Associate degree
• Valid airline transport certificate (ATP) multi-engine-Land and instrument rating
• 5 years as Captain with a corporate flight department or equivalent relevant work experience
• 8 years of professional aviation experience
• Expert working knowledge of aviation activities, Federal Aviation Regulations, International Procedures and corporate flight operations
• Flight Time total: 5,000 hours
• Turbine time: 500 hours min.
• Multi-engine time: 1,500 hours
• Jet time: 1,000 hours
• PIC Jet: 500 Hours
• IFR: 500 hours

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• G280 Type Rating preferred or comparable Super-Mid/ Mid or larger Aircraft
• International Experience Preferred (Europe, Asia, Middle East, India)
• Type rating: multi-engine jet (Midsize or larger - Preferred)

Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to maintain FAA Class 1 medical every 6 months
• Demonstrated, Professionalism exercised at the highest degree, as this position routinely interacts with the Senior Executive levels at Labcorp
• Superior customer service skills including strong verbal and written communication.
• Must work well with others in a team environment, to include crew resource management (CRM) skills
• Must be able to attain and hold a US Passport
• Must have no travel restrictions to other countries
