We are currently recruiting a Pharmacology Technician to join our dedicated and experienced Pharmacology animal unit team at our site in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire.

As a Pharmacology Technician, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Performing regulated procedures in a variety of rodent species
  • Taking personal and legal responsibility for the welfare and care of the animals that you work with
  • Collecting study data on Pharmacology regulatory (GLP) studies and non-regulatory efficacy studies
  • Preparing and checking study related documentation
  • Performing some husbandry procedures

As a Licenced Technician, as well as technical procedures, you will continue to learn and develop, receiving training and support to progress through our career development programme including rodent lung function techniques, use of specialised data capture systems, inhalation administration and post mortem procedures.

There will be an expectancy to work some additional overtime during the week and weekends that are not part of your scheduled week and receive additional remuneration.

Qualifications/Education:

Possession of an existing Home Office personal license or to have held a personal license/completed accredited training within the past 5 years is desirable

Experience:

  • The ability to learn and the capability to develop the requisite skills
  • Highest standards of animal care and welfare
