The role requires a good understanding of governing regulation, ability to comply with information channeling into databases and communication with customers and can be occupied by a new graduate. The team is global, with resource located in UK, Japan and Korea. To provide technical and administrative support for the EU-REACH/GB-REACH/Swiss-REACH Only Representative (OR) service offered by Labcorp.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Ensuring that the company fulfils necessary legal obligations required to ensure compliance with current legislation (as Only Representative in accordance with EU, GB and where needed Swiss REACH obligations)
  • Generating sustainable revenues.

  • Performing technical and administrative compliance activities for a range of clients. Current, relevant, legislative requirements and official recommendations will be followed in accordance to existing departmental procedures (10%)
  • Preparation and/or distribution of regulatory and legal documentation relating to the OR service to customers and importers as required (10%)
  • Independently managing individual projects, ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate and comply with REACH regulations using approved department procedures (15%)
  • Preparation and distribution of annual tonnage tracking request to customers and other appropriate parties. Analyzing the returned data and ensuring that any erroneous information is thoroughly investigated to a satisfactory conclusion as directed by the OR Compliance Team Leader (15%)
  • Assessment of accuracy and validity of information received from customers and other parties using departmental procedures (10%)
  • Answering project related and general enquiries. Providing accurate OR advice to customers, importers and other parties, (internal/external) (10%)
  • Proactively communicating with customers (internal/external) and the regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with Labcorp's legal obligations as OR (10%)
  • Keeping up to date with REACH regulations and current trends in OR compliance (5%)
  • Help develop strategies for regulation in India (5%)

Operational/Project support:

  • Co-ordinating with the Commercial Team to ensure that customers are invoiced correctly (5%)
  • Adherence to departmental time recording process, ensuring all time is accurately recorded (5%)

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate or Master degree in the relevant streams.
  • Minimum 1-3 years administration, chemical regulations experience is essential.
  • Previous experience in compliance desired but not essential
