Labcorp is recruiting a Lead Project Analyst Engineer for a dynamic team in Burlington or RTP, NC. This position is located onsite.
Overview:
The person fulfilling the role of Lead Project Analyst Engineer (LPAE) will work on key initiatives directed at making Labcorp the leader in personalized diagnostic medicine and a Trusted Knowledge Partner. The candidate will work directly with members of the business, sales, IT, and technology vendors to respond to the rapidly changing healthcare landscape. The prospective candidate will be engaged in a wide variety of work, including but not limited to web applications and web service development, platform development & automation. The applicant will be challenged with cutting-edge technologies to provide a modern framework for Java/Linux-based solutions across virtualized machines. As part of this transformational team the applicant will enable new business to workflows & lead a rapid delivery IT team.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership throughout the development life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions.
- Develops complex RESTful webservices in a cross-functional and agile development team.
- Manage priorities appropriately, meet deadlines, and satisfy commitments.
- Provide modern and fast single page applications and address unique challenges in the interaction with various devices and input preferences.
- Work with the service development team, project managers, business analysts, web service software developers and users across the organization and create a fast, intuitive, and easy-to-use software.
- Main point of contact and subject matter expert on your product domain.
- Performs code and design reviews with peers.
- Follows best practices for test-driven development (unit testing and beyond)
- Develop and drive evolution of application development standards and coding guides. Ensure user software requirements are met.
- Work with other groups within IT to further the DevOps culture round automation of builds, testing, deploys and scaling.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or foreign equivalent plus ten (8) years of experience as Technical Lead, Developer, Consultant, or Software Engineer.
- 8 year experience and expert knowledge of Java (7+) enterprise development and middleware system integrations.
- 3+ years of architecture and development for building large scale enterprise applications using AWS Cloud services like Lambda, SQS, EC2, ECS and API Gateway
- Hands-on working experience with Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Maven, and other Java development frameworks.
- Working experience with Application security using frameworks such as Spring Security, OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect
- In-depth understanding of scalable database design for SQL (e.g., Postgres, Oracle), Stored procedures and NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, AWS Dynamodb)
- Hands-on experience with messaging-oriented platforms such as Kafka, Kinesis Stream IBM MQ and ActiveM.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native microservices architectures, principles, and patterns.
- Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) using tools such as Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Git, Sonar, Jenkins, Jira.
- Hands-on experience with TDD using Junit5 and Mockito.
- Experience using Application Performance Management (APM) tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace) and Splunk and ELK or OpenSearch stack for log aggregation.
- Working experience as a multi-skilled professional practicing Agile/SCRUM methodology.
- Strong analytical, communication and team collaboration skills
