Provides administrative support to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and assists the IACUC Chair and department head with other aspects of animal facility regulatory compliance activities.

• Assists the IACUC Chair by writing and maintaining meeting minutes and related data, collecting information for annual regulatory reports, and maintaining current IACUC policies and documents on the company intranet.
• Performs initial review of all proposed animal use activities and monitors those submissions for accuracy, completeness, and determines status for further review
• Performs other site-specific duties as assigned such as: Audits IACUC protocols against study activities to ensure compliance with the Guide, the Animal Welfare Regulations and other pertinent regulatory requirements
• Acts as the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) administrator and coordinates protocol management and IBC meetings
• Schedules and coordinates training for new and existing IACUC Members
• Coordinates and administers the Customer Satisfaction Programs including metric tracking, report preparation, and record keeping.
Required Education/Qualifications/Skills Required:
BS/BA degree in animal science or other related science field or 3 years animal/laboratory experience
At least 1 year's auditing experience in a regulated facility, Preferred
Basic understanding of SOP's, forms and related documents
Experience and understanding of Animal Welfare regulations with specific knowledge of the functions of an IACUC
Must possess good written and oral communication skills
