Treasury Analyst II

Job Summary

It is an exciting time to join the Americas (AMER) xScale Treasury Operations team with the recent announcement of the intent to form a $15+ billion joint venture to purchase land to build new state-of-the-art xScale data centers on multiple greater-than-100-megawatt (MW) campuses in the U.S.

xScale Treasury Operations focuses on liquidity management, external financing and investing, and treasury process improvement for the xScale business, which partners with Investors in Joint Ventures to extend cloud leadership and meet the skyrocketing demand for data centers designed specifically for AI training and other compute-intensive tasks.

Reporting to the Senior Treasury Manager and based in Toronto, the Treasury Analyst II supports the AMER xScale Treasury Operations team and works in close partnership with the Global Treasury and Finance team, xScale Management team, Lending Banks, FP&A, and joint venture partners. This position offers unique opportunities for development and promotion over time within Treasury or the option to broaden into other areas of Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the liquidity needs of the AMER xScale portfolio through cash flow forecasting and by developing and maintaining optimal Cash Management structures in close collaboration with relationship banks
  • Liaise with the Security Agents and Lenders of Loan Facilities to ensure timely provision of information required by both parties
  • Track and manage lender financial covenants, reporting requirements and debt servicing requirements for the AMER xScale portfolio
  • Maximize return and minimize risk of excess liquidity through appropriate investment vehicles
  • Monitor and maintain intercompany loan balances and optimize the loan structure where suitable
  • Produce periodic and ad-hoc Treasury reporting for xScale investors and internal Equinix team
  • Support the capital call process
  • Support Quarterly Treasury SOX testing
  • Support year-end audit for AMER xScale
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement of Treasury tools and technology
  • Support other Treasury initiatives as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance or Economics, with progress toward the CFA or CTP designations preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in Corporation Finance or Treasury in a Corporate or banking environment
  • Experience with a treasury management system is an advantage
  • Experience in managing project finance highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to proactively solve problems
  • Ability to work well within a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
  • Growth-oriented mindset and desire to drive change
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint
