Labcorp Genetics has an opening for a Remote-Based Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) to join their team! The GC Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that require a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

The schedule for this position will be: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm eastern time zone. Please note: candidates can be located anywhere in the US, however, must be able to work eastern time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Genetic Counseling team to manage results to be reported to patients
  • Responsible for obtaining and distributing results and other records to genetic counselors
  • Communicate with clients as needed in support of the team

  • Responsible for performing various administrative duties

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Min 1 year experience in the healthcare industry such as a hospital or physician's office required
  • 2-3 years' experience working in a laboratory or clinical genetics setting highly preferred
  • Familiarity with genetic concepts highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
  • Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others and work cooperatively and effectively to set goals, resolve problems and make recommendations

Pay Range: $25.48/hour - $31.25/hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
