Our Integrated Accounting Services (IAS) team in Sofia, Bulgaria is continually developing and we want to appoint a General Accounting Manager.
Main tasks:
- Monitor and act upon the respective KPIs
- Prepare and review accounting entries in accordance with relevant accounting standards and policies
- Review month-end closing activities and monthly financial reports, investigating significant variances in financial statement analyses
- Review and prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the completion of all external, internal and special audits
- Maintain strong internal relationships with Tax, Treasury, IAS and Payroll; as well as external relationships with local service providers, advisors and auditors
- Make recommendations for improvements in processes and/or quality of information reported and assists with implementation of action plans
- Complete ad hoc projects and tasks as required
Education / Qualifications:
- Minimum - Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent number of years of experience
- Preferred - ACCA/CIMA/CPA and advanced accounting degree
Experience:
- 5+ years accounting, experience in Shared Service Centers or multinational companies
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Adhere to a pro-active approach, with the ability to problem solve, and interact professionally with internal and external clients in order to meet everyone's needs in an effective and timely manner
- Demonstrate ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Previous experience with ERP system (PeopleSoft preferred)
- Problem solving skills
- Proven track for improvements in processes or control environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience in an international, multicurrency environment, preferably US corporate
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP principles and internal control environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with large amounts of data
