The Role

The Country Finance Leader will have a deep understanding of the marketplace and the financial levers of our business and will use data driven insights and analysis to position country to deliver profitable growth.

This role oversees an experienced FP&A team who analyze market opportunity and competitive comparisons, investment cases for growth, upcoming renewals and/or new contracts, the overall country portfolio mix of services, cash collection and spending management.

The leader is ruthlessly focused on prioritizing spending that can be re-prioritized into value creating activities and will advise on all financial matters with integrity to manage risk and ensure we operate in a controlled manner.

This role engages regularly with business leaders to develop long-term plans, create operational metrics to understand progress and build a management system that ensures the success of those plans.

The finance leader maintains a successful network with other finance professionals in the marketplace to drive growth opportunities with our customer and to stay informed of developments in the field and in the country.

This role is for an experienced executive, generally from a large multi-national corporation, and are frequently sought out for their guidance and direction in complex business issues.

Objectives of the role

• Be the financial leader to deliver profitable growth for country and achieve Kyndryl's financial strategy by advising on investments that will drive growth, understanding the competitive landscape, negotiating with customers and partners, driving understanding of our business through financial and performance analysis, managing our cash, taking actions to achieve our objectives while managing our business in a controlled manner.

• Lead the development of long-term strategic plans for country and develop annual operating, capital, and program budgets.

• Manage all elements of the financial organization including cash flow, operational results, day-to-day accounting, internal and external reporting, and control activities of the organization

• Develop and implement best practices to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination and cross-team communications

• Develop a talented, inspired and engaged organization with the entrepreneurial spirit to grow our business.

• Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities

Who You Are

Responsibilities

• Build a long-term plan that will continue to deliver profitable growth for country, develop operating budgets so everyone understands their role in delivering that plan, provide access to project financial performance, and ensure accurate contract development and reporting

• Work with senior leaders to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure accurate contract development and reporting

• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement

• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments

• Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed analysis for earnings calls, management team, and the rest of company.

Skills and qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of experience in executive leadership roles preferably in a multi-national corporation

• Excellent leadership and management skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity

• Demonstrated ability to scale profitable growth and transform businesses

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Understanding of advanced accounting (including revenue recognition/606, US GAAP versus local country GAAP comparisons, regulatory issues, and tax planning)
