The Role
The Application Development AMS Practice Goal
The consulting organization you are leading will focus on providing advisory services to clients with complex landscapes and cost reduction pressure. Kyndryl's Application Managed Service (AMS) practice can help companies overcome these challenges and improve application availability, quality and performance to achieve better business results. We provide a flexible structure that enables businesses to fine tune application managed services to their IT and business objectives and we support our clients successfully transition to the target state. Consulting services include everything from leading workshops, PoCs, and designing MVPs / CoEs that result in accelerated value delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding Client Problems and Designing Innovative Solutions: Service Owners in Kyndryl's consulting organization know how to listen to clients facing real challenges supporting core systems in their organization. They can take what they have learned and propose innovative solutions that Kyndryl can help deliver, whether that's full stack application development support or AMS support, the service owner is responsible for developing these solutions.
- Service Offering Development: A good Service Owner will discover patterns of client problems and then collaborate across partners, Kyndryl service offerings, and other consulting teams to create hardened capabilities that teams can use.
- Create Understanding Across Kyndryl: Kyndryl has a large sales force who already know our clients and their needs. What they don't know is how your practice can help their clients. You will need to constantly educate our sales team, so they are armed with your story.
- Business Development and Relationship Management: Once introduced to clients, you will develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders. You will negotiate terms with C-level clients, lead pursuit teams, and participate and lead the proposal development process.
- Delivery & Engagement Management: A Service Owner's job is not done when the customer is ready to buy. They own creating a budget for the project and supervise on-time and on-budget delivery; often creating team structures, supporting agile delivery methods, and defining engagement delivery roadmaps that will lead to success.
- Inspirational Leadership: The Applications and Data Practice is stronger because of the leadership of our Service Owners. They coach, challenge, mentor, instruct, and develop some of the brightest data engineers, data scientists, data modelers, and data analysts in the company.

In order to fulfill all of these responsibilities, you will need to be a seasoned professional with experience and leadership skills in; Application Managed Services (Support, Maintenance, Development, Break/Fix) for both packaged and custom applications.

Experience in modeling and running Application Managed Services for applications, database, platform, middleware, testing services; etc. Experience leading teams and hiring people for data engineering related technical tasks:
Creating managed service support models. (application and infrastructure)
Supporting our customers with ability to identify application managed service opportunities and engage the right stakeholders (client and Kyndryl) to progress the opportunity. Leverage AI Ops and other automation tools and processes to reduce operating cost and accelerate value realization. Supporting on/off/near shore support models with the balance of quality, compliance, and cost
Experience in defining Managed Service SLA's and KPI's. Experience in supporting hybrid-models (cloud, on-premises, Colo). Transitioning from transformation programs, seamlessly to on-going support - Hypercare and transition support definition and execution. Process and practices for on-going optimization of managed services (Agile development methodologies, a modern landscape, process and efficiency optimization, testing services, ticket reduction and above all - superior customer service).
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $167,760 to $318,840 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:
California:$184,560 to $382,680
Colorado: $167,760 to $318,840
New York City: $201,360 to $382,680
Washington: $184,560 to $350,760
Washington DC:$184,560 to $350,760
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
